Good Morning,
I will soon get a set of LED lights for the inside of my chassis, to light up my build. The only problem is that it uses Molex connector, and because I have a semi-modular Psu, I do not have that connector. I do however have a 6-pin PCI connector that looks like this
It cam with my GPU, and was originally used in case my Psu didn't have 6 pin power, in which it would convert double molex into 6 pin power. I believe the six pin fits in my PSU, as it is modular, but can I use this converter "backwards" so to speak? If I plug the 6 pin into my psu, and plug the lights into the molex will it provide power? Or will it blow it up? Is it worth the risk?
