I have an ASUS P5N-E SLI motherboard in a custom case. I want to connect the front multi-card reader to the motherboard. The only place left over after other connections would be the COM1 header. It is surrounded in blue plastic like a USB header. I have a block connector that will fit in very nicely. I just want to be sure that is what to use before powering it on.

Do I use the COM1 port?

My problem is that my connectors are done 1 pin at a time, individually labelled. My motherboard manual does not tell me how, but i found this online: http://www.frontx.com/cpx105_2p4.gif My individual pins match that diagram, except instred of having two "VP", I have one "+12V". I have 7 pins to attach total.

Put another way, I need to attach:

TPA+
TPA-
Ground
Ground
TPB+
TPB-
+12V

Can I attach the +12V pin to the motherboard on either of the "VP" pins?

Am I safe to attach all 7 pins and not worry about the other 2 pins (which I dont have anyway)
