Connecting my android tablet to pc via usb for wifi on pc

So my ethernet cable stopped working yesterday, and i was curious if i could connect my android tablet to my pc to 'share' my wifi through my tablet to my pc via usb or other means? My pc cannot connect wirelessly so it would have to be through wired means.

it will depend on your tablet.
i often "share wifi" from my phone to pc by activating wifi hotspot feature (phone) and connecting pc-phone using usb cable
