Hello!

It seems that after 22 years reading Tom´s Hardware it is time to write my first post! :)

It turns out that I am in the process of building the replacement of my current rig, that was getting a bit on the slow side for certain tasks. After a life using Intel, this time I chose a Threadripper and a Gigabyte Trx40 Aorus Xtreme. Now is time to connect my old PSU to the new motherboard, and I thought that it would be better to ask you a couple of questions first.

I am using a Seasonic X-Series 1250W. The PSU connectors are these ones below:

and mobo is this one:

It is my understanding that I should connected the two outputs I highlighted in green in the PSU to the two inputs of the same color in the motherboard. Also, that I can connect a PCI-E output (in red) to the input I highlighted in red in the motherboard. Am I right? I am asking because I would not want to make a proper mess, although I think that the connectors are fool proof.

Thank you so much! :)

Solution
On the green highlighted connectors - yes. OC_PEG sounds to be optional for when you have two or more GPUs in the system, probably supplying more power to the PCI-e slots.

Thank you so much for the help! This guy will inherit a couple of big GPUs from my old machine, although they are not overclocked my any means. I guess I will be connecting the additional PCI-E in the board, just in case :).
