Connecting PC and air conditioner on the same outlet. Do I need a surge protector or UPS?

I only recently realized it is not a good idea to plug a PC and high-wattage appliances on the same electrical outlet.

My PC has 700w PSU, and the air conditioner is rated at 1800w. Nothing really bad happened yet, but I want to make sure just in case.

I bought an extension cord with its own circuit breaker (rated at 4000w) for the air conditioner.

I also have bought a surge protector for the PC, and only a few hours ago heard about UPS.

Would surge protector suffice, or do I need UPS in this case?

kepp the surge protector on pc and do you see any screen flickerin or power down pc when a c start .
