Hi, just wondering if I can connect my PC to a wifi extender via ethernet? Also, will you get the same amount of speed by doing this if you were to connect your PC to the 'main' router? Or should I just buy a usb wifi adapter?
Thanks

Solution
1. having a LAN cable between the PC and the router is always the best option.
2. WiFi adapter is an ok choice in my opinion if it's really good quality.
3. Powerline adapter is a massive double edged sword because at certain situations it will work perfectly and in many other situations it won't work at all. Also it takes a good ammount of electrical knowledge to know when will this be a good option.
4. Extenders - worst option of them all.

hmm okay. What do you think would be the best option for me?

Hmm. I think I may have to go with the wifi adapter, as I cannot move the main router from its position. Thanks for the help!
