Hello!

I'm confused where to put this question but probably here ... so here it is...

I bought fan controller knob STW 6041 off Ali and it has molex power supply connector with 4 wires (none of them are coloured) but it has markings 1-2-3-4 on a header.
My PSU molex connector is : Red-black-black-Yellow(all of them x2)
and the way header placed(bottom/top) i had to connect Fan controller knob to PSU molex like this : 1 to Red wire which confuse me coz 1 should be ground...

I mean... all is functioning and STW 6041 doing its job of controlling fans speed etc(even did aida64 30m stress test)

Would it even work if i actually connected red wire to ground(black)?
Hope once again to get professional help from you tom's hardware guys, u the best!

Although their is a standard wire color scheme it is not necessary to follow the color scheme as long as the plug is wired correctly.
Molex and all other computer plugs will only plug in one way without extreme force.
Wire color does not matter.
So you are all good.
