connecting psu with no mobo

So basically I got a lot of my parts in the mail today, except he processor. (I have no idea when that will com in) I just wanted to go ahead and connect the psu to the motherboard, and the fans and the graphics card to the motherboard. Would this allow the fans and graphics cards to power up if I press the power button on my PC?

Yes, it will power up, but no display will be shown. Or anything, the parts will power up though.
