Question Connecting rgb fans

So im going to build a PC in a month. I will be going with the Cooler Master 530p case and the MSI Z390 Gaming plus motherboard. The case comes with 3 ARGB fans and i am really confused with everything revolving around RGB fans bcs im pretty new to here. So can someone explain me how RGB works, whats the difference between ARGB and RGB and how i could connect ARGB fans to my mobo which i think doesnt have an ARGB header. Thankss

In short, ARGB can show different colors at the same time, and RGB can't show different colors at the same time.

For example, a ARGB Fan spinning can show Purple and Blue at the same time like a light show.
A RGB Fan would only show Purple first, fade away, then show Blue.

The MPG 2390 Gaming Plus only has 2 RGB Headers with no A-RGB Headers, so you would have to buy a RGB Controller if you want to control the LED's. Being powered by the USB Header on your motherboard.

After you connect it, control it through Coolermaster's own RGB Software.

NOTE: I don't really work with MSI Boards, but for their Gaming Plus Series mostly do not support Mystic Light so I don't know how you would control the RGB on that motherboard other than using a Controller. Even when there are 2 RGB Headers on there...

Thanks for your detailed description. So what do you suggest. You can change the components the case or the mobo. How would i get working rgb or argb case with full personalization. As I said you can change the components. Thanks for help

If you can still return your motherboard then I would say do that instead. The case should be fine, unless you don't want to control it through the Motherboard Software and want a physical control that you can press on the case.

If you don't want to return or get something new then I would suggest getting that Coolermaster RGB Controller on somewhere like Newegg.

Motherboard choices are yours, because I can't necessarily recommend anything because it's your own personal PC with your own personal liking's. But just make sure to have at least one A-RGB Header on the Motherboard.

Ok thanks. Do you know of any decent and similar mobo to mine. And how would connect the RGB controller if i would get one? With usb header or? And would i be able to change with software if i had a controller

MSI DOES make mobos with an ARGB header. Any that case comes with a cable to connect its three ARGB fans to a mobo ARGB header. Without actually doing the complete search, I can tell you how to do it.

Unfortunately, I could not find an easy way to ask the MSI website to show me all their mobos that have an ARGB header. The only way I found was to choose a mobo web page, click on the Support label, and download the mobo manual. Then look into that where it lists the on-board internal connectors and headers. MSI labels their PLAIN RGB header (the ones you do not want) as JRGBn. The ones you DO want for ARGB they call JRAINBOWn heaqders; however, often there is only one of these so they do not put a number on the end of it. So your best bet its to download the manual for a mobo that appears to meet your needs, and check whether it has a JRAINBOW header.

Just to note, the software utility that MSI includes for controlling the lights of an ARGB or a plain RGB system is called Mystic Light. But that name is used for the utility no matter whether the mobo has only one type or RGB, or the other, or both types. So the Mystic Light name only tells you it has SOME type of light control header on it, not exactly WHICH type.
