connecting RGB to motherboard

I am going to buy a gaming PC soon, and wanted to know if i can connect some RGB 5050 ledstrips to it, using the RGB header on the MoBo. the strip i want to use is 12v, 5050 LEDs.

this is the motherboard: MSI - B350 PC MATE ATX AM4

It will work. You will be able to control it with either the remote, or you can set it up with Mystic Light if you choose to us the RGB mb header.

okay, and im assuming Mystic Light is the RGB controll software from MSI? and i was planning on using the 4-pin RGB header on the motherboard, so that will make me able to controll the strip with software?

Yes Mystic Light is MSI RGB light control central. Also yes, Mystic light will be able to control it through the header.

@urbancamper okay, one last question. the RGB strip i have, is not individually addressable, all the LEDs will have the same color. Will the lighting effects such as Breath still work? or do you need individually addressable LEDs for that?
And, i saw the list of supported mb's on MSI, and the MSI - B350 PC MATE ATX AM4 was not in there.. does this mean my motherboard is not compatible? or is it not in there for other reasons?

Yes, you can set it up to breath or you can have it change colors. As long as there is an RGB LED strip connector on the motherboard it will work. Since there is one yes, no worries.
