Connecting Roku to Sony

Insignia Roku NS3 9DR and Sony Home Audio CMT SBT100. How can I have sound run through stero? Audio In cord attached to TV and receiver but no sound

Are you using the headphone / audio out on the TV to the audio in on the Sony with a 3.5mm audio cable like this?

Double check the TV out is working correctly (if you have headphones or earbuds handy) and if it does work as expected an alternative may be a bluetooth transmitter like this may work out nicely.

The Sony has a 3.5mm stereo input.
Can't find info on that model of TV. If it has a headphone output that will work. Most likely the only audio output is optical so you will need an optical to analog converter.

You may need to turn the optical output on, the TV speakers off, and change the audio output to PCM in the TV menu.
