I have a old device (HP 1662A Logic analyzer to be specific) and it has a rs-232 printer output on it. However, I do not have any RS-232 printers so I was wondering if there is any software available (preferably for free) that could convert the output to an image on a computer. I already have a rs-232 to USB converter so I have no problem connecting it to the computer, it is just reading the information from it that I am having trouble with.

The RS-232 specification is just a physical/electrical specification. So whatever printer it was intended to be connected to would have to know how to handle the data stream.

Whatever software you might find will have to know how to interpret the data stream coming from the 1662A. You might look on some HAM radio and/or electronic hobbyist web sites/forums.

The device has a configurations menu that can have specifics changed for the printer communications, included on the picture. I am having trouble finding specific sites that contain programs or information on how to actually accomplish it though, so it would be really helpful to have specific sites listed.
