I recently bought a BenQ Zowie XL2114p monitor and was planning on connecting it to my Dell G3 3579 laptop. Upon receiving the monitor and plugging it in through HDMI, I realized that the monitor was only running at 60 Hz (1920 x 1080). My laptop has an HDMI 2.0a port, is that enough to support 144 Hz at 1080p, given I have a good enough cable? Or do I need to get an HDMI to display port adapter? If I must go with the adapter I would very much appreciate if anyone could send one that supports 144 Hz my way, please.
Laptop specs: HDMI 2.0a port
