Connecting two Wi-Fi routers together via ethernet cable.

I want to connect 2 Wi-Fi routers together via Ethernet cable and connect one of the routers to ADSL via a built in Modem. Will this work and how to I ensure that all the PCs acquire their IP address from the same router.

Yes it should work.
What you need is to pick one router as main. On this router (preferably one connected to internet) enable DHCP and on other one disable DHCP. To connect routers to each other use LAN ports on both routers.
This way one router will serve as DHCP server and will assign IP addresses. Also you should be able to enable WI-FI on both routers (assign them same parameters) and it should all create one network. Some routers may have wizards for this which will help you to setup wifi.

Yes this will work properly. but you have to change the ip address of your router. another then you will not get internet. your computer will get ip address with whom it will be connected.
