I've had this issue since we moved into our new construction home in July. It has a FTTH connection from Spectrum.
They supplied the router (actiontec) and ONT (NOKIA/Alcatel-Lucent)
The issue is connection drops but then picks up again within 15-20 seconds. It happens all the time but it's only noticeable when I'm playing Xbox cause the online game will drop and I'll be kicked from it. If I'm using my phone or laptop it'll just seem like the page is loading slow.
I did continuous pings today on the WAN IP, LAN IP, WAN GATEWAY IP and www.google.com.
When i was kicked from the xbox game I went and checked on the pings...... The WAN GATEWAY IP and www.google.com timed out 7x in a row. Then came back. Meanwhile the WAN IP and LAN IP (my main router) continued pinging just fine.
What is the issue? How do I address it??
