Question Connection Issues only when gaming

Sep 17, 2019

I have a MSI GF63 Thin 95C.

  • Windows 10 Home
  • Intel Wireless-AC 9560
  • Geforce 1650
This problem started this Monday, I changed to a new house that already includes an internet service. But I also noticed that there was a windows update.

I have no problems watching twitch, youtube, netflix, or using discord, spotify or any combination with the above. But as soon as I open any game, the icon on the taskbar sometimes will say there is no internet, or when trying to open any web page opera says Dns_Probe_Finished_No_Internet, or when trying to do a ping to throught the cmd it will say timeout on all the tries, I get dropped from discord, spotify says there is no internet, etc. And as soon as I close the game, the internet gets to work again.

I have tried:
  • using google DNS
  • deactivating IPV6
  • deactivating windows 10 game mode
  • deactivating NVIDIA overlay
  • deactivating any service that is non-microsoft
  • doing ipconfig /renew, ipconfig /release, ipconfig /flushdns
  • factory reset to the laptop, twice.
  • Reinstalling network drives
  • Using a VPN(ProtonVPN free trial)
I have no connection to the Ethernet, nor access to the modem/router.

I suspect is device related(serious suppositions on my side) as one my games(Dota Underlords) is able to run without issues on my phone, but when I open it on my laptop everything goes to hell.
