Last night I lost internet connection via wifi. It's a Gigabyte PCI-E adapter for an Intel 7260 wifi & bluetooth device. At this point I'm thinking it's Windows 10 related but I made no changes (to my knowledge) when the problem began so I'm not entirely sure where else to look.
Observations:
1) Both my laptop (Windows 10 using Intel 3165) and cellphone (Android) are able to connect as usual.
2) I tried uninstalling the Intel 7260 and reinstalling.
3) I tried connecting my USB wifi adapter (TP-Link TL-WN722N) and that adapter had the same issues.
4) When I run Acrylic Wifi-Home to monitor local networks, the networks seem to drop in and out. This doesn't occur if I run Acrylic on my laptop. By drop out, I mean there will be short periods of time where it graphs no networks in range.
5) When the network does show up and connect, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. This occurs with the router as well (ping 10.0.0.1 fails sometimes).
6) I've tried the following in command prompt as admin:
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
