Hi, guys. I have this problem where i lose my internet connection, all of a sudden, for no obvious reason. The indicator in the tray says that there is connection, but there isn't. Can't disable and enable the connection again, windows "diagnose and repair" does nothing. Again, there are no obvious things like programs or anything i do with my computer that i might suspect. Sometimes i just wake up and there's no connection despite the fact that no programs except VLC player were running. What could be the problem?

In device manager make sure the disable to save power option is off. Make sure your network drivers are up to date.
disable any network connections you are not using. when this happens try pinging your defautlt gateway, and the internet.

hehe "Ping the internet" does sound like a meme. Basically type ping www.bbc.co.uk or another website at the command prompt.

if you are opening up commend prompt and trying to ping, and the command prompt is freezing i'd say something is very wrong.

Check you dont have any third party firewalls installed or in lockdown.

can you ping the loopback ip? "ping 127.0.0.1" if you cant do that something is broken. I would look to re-install your network adapter drivers, and failing that the TCPIP stack.
