Connection lost for no reason!!!

Here is my issue, I am running Windows 7 with all the settings provided by my ISP. My girlfriends' computer works on this router just fine (Netgear). My sons' desktop with USB wireless works just fine as well. If I am running bittorrent and downloading things constantly then I never lose connection. It's like a time-out issue somewhere but I have edited the registry for timeout as suggested in one of the billion blogs I have read. It only seems to be MY computer. Netgear support is stumped as well. If someone could please help me, as I am NOT very computer oriented, I would be most grateful.

Are you using wireless ?

Meanwhile check TCP/IP Properties.

Start, Connect To, Connection, Properties, Scroll Down TCP/IP and highlight, click Properties and check that Obtain DNS and IP address automatically are enabled.
