[SOLVED] Connection speeds limited to 10Mbps

I am using a cat6 cable to connect my computer with an asrock b250m pro4 motherboard with my ASUS AC1900 wifi router. The Speeds of the computer are locked at 10Mbps and when I manually set the speed and duplex to anything other than 10Mbps full or half duplex it says the network cable is unplugged. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes i connected it with a different cable and everything worked fine which is surprising since the cable that doesn't work was brand new and I just purchased it. I then tried redoing one of the ends of the cat6 cable that doesnt work and I was able to get speeds up to 100Mbps, but still not what I should be getting. When I connected with the other cable i was getting speeds around 260Mbps. I might just have to replace the cable sadly.

That cable should obviously be replaced. If you bought it recently, try see if you can get the money back.
