So I was just starting to run with a ethernet cable and for some reason got a 100/100 connection (I am paying for a 25/25 connection). But recently I got a new computer with an network adapter, my connection has been down at 20/20 even when the new computer is off. Also my wireless connection has ALWAYS been 25/25. It was only ethernet which was only 1 device.

Thanks in advance.

No, I was getting a higher bandwidth than what I was paying for through ethernet which was 100/100 and I would like to know the reason. The wireless connection was still 25/25 which was the bandwidth I was paying for.

The ethernet cable in the network properties will only ever show values of 10Mbps, 100Mbps or 1Gbps. Those are the only values it can possibly take. Wifi will auto-negotiate to the best value it can manage at any point in time, your access point may max out at 25/25?, there are set values but there are many more of them.

I did a speedtest and got 100/100. I didn't touch any of the network properties settings.

I still got the speed I paid for with wireless connection. I didn't mind a higher connection speed though.

If you mean setting up the internet to the router. That happened years ago. I just plugged in a cat5e to my computer and got the bandwidth.
