Connectivity problems with cable

i have a gtx 1050ti and i i am using an hdmi port and i am trying to connect a second monitor to have dual monitors with a display port to hdmi cable and my pc doesnt recognize that i have a second monitor connected

You can try with a dvi to hdmi cable.
