Connnecting egpu through mini pcie

Since my computer (Lenovo y700) dosent have a thunderbolt 3 (only hdmi 1.4 to export data) I wanted to know if it would be worth it attaching an egpu (ASUS GeForce 6GB Dual-Fan OC Edition VR Ready Dual HDMI DP 1.4 Gaming Graphics Card DUAL-GTX1060-O6G) (or this Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB G1 GAMING Graphic Card (GV-N105TG1GAMING-4GD)) via mini pcie. Aldo would I need a fan to go with the gpu?

1050 would be better option, as the mini pci-e connection would make the 1060 much less worthwhile due to the bottleneck.

No you dont need extra fans, but you will likely need a psu to power it.

And which psu would I need? As well as with the bottle neck would the 1050 still be better than a gtx 960 (what the laptop has)

Yeah 1050 ti 4gb might be a better option so you get a more noticeable improvement.

A good quality 300w psu would be plenty.

M.2 sata cannot be used as you need pcie. M.2 replaced mpcie so you will not have both. You don't have mpcie anyways. You have m.2 which is nvme (has a sata mode but irrelevant). Luckily, it is the best option as it offers x4. If you can get a 1060 6gb, that would be better.

The laptop port is not used so is irrelevant. Yes you can get 144hz with an appropriate gpu.

I think most people use the mini pci-e that your wifi card is plugged into, so you would have to use that (and use a USB wifi dongle instead if you need wifi).

?? I have a pcie nvme not mpcie as well mcpie can only do 1* while pcie nvme = 4*

I didnt know you could get an adapter to use the m.2 pcie to be honest.

Finally I have had trouble finding the right adapter to use in order to plug into the m.2 pcie nvme. If you can find a link to a product that would be greatly appreciated

The laptop does not have mpcie. I mentioned this already. M.2 replaced mpcie for a quite a while now. You can tell from the size if anything else. Mpcie is bigger. You might be complicating things with "m.2 pcie nvme." It's just m.2. Pcie is a different slot and nvme is a function. M.2 to pcie adapters are not hard to find. The keying may make it harder.

What about the slot where the wifi card is plugged in on the right? Thats a mini pcie im pretty sure.

Nope. As I said, you can tell from the size and mpcie was replaced by m.2 and you won't find both on the same laptop (not counting the rare ones). Mpcie hasn't been on laptops for multiple years now. You'll see it on the older y500 but this is a y700.
