I am attempting to display 4k 120hz/gsync on my TV and send 5.1 audio to my AVR. My GPU only has one HDMI port. It seems that my only solution is to do HDMI to my TV and displayport converted to HDMI to my AVR. I know my PC will treat my AVR as a second display which I can deal with, but does anyone have experience with this type of setup? Can I send audio to my secondary "display" only? Thanks!

Well, problem solved. Anyone who wants uncompressed surround sound and still use a gsync/4k TV, just connect your TV and AVR with separate HDMI cables, disable the second "display" in windows and viola. I had to convert displayport to HDMI to my AVR but it is working beautifully.
