So , I have a pc with 1tb HDD and I was thinking of adding another hdd, but hearing that the sdd has a much faster boot time and no loading screen , I was wondering if I could add an ssd to my computer that has a hdd without degrading the ssd?

Would adding an ssd to my computer have any effect to the sdd? Would it make the ssd slower? And what would you suggest? Adding another HDD or and SSD? If any , what ssd or hdd should I get?

Here is my computer that I bought pre built ( which was stupid of me ) from a store :

Thanks in advance!

No cons at all. OS and applications on the SSD, other files and games on the HDD(s).

And a 120GB SSD can hold a LOT more than the OS.
My 120GB Kingston has Win 8.1 Pro, Office 2013, LibreOffice, Adobe Lightroom, Corel VideoStudio, Paintshop Pro, MS Visual Studio, and dozens of other applications.
Currently 61.9GB used, 49GB free.

22 months old, 24/7 operation, zero performance degradation.

I have three computers, two laptops and a desktop, with both an SSD boot drive and HDD storage drive installed and have not had any problems or seen any degradation of the HDD performance. You should be fine with both an SSD and HDD in the same system. After adding the SSDs I have noticed an improvement in boot times in all of the machines.
