Considering getting a Laptop and need advice...

Hi, I would like to bring my gaming desktop downstairs to better enjoy on my HDTV so I'm looking for opinions on what's the best yet cheapest PC Windows laptop you can get for internet browsing, watching videos on Youtube and the like, chatting on mIRC and Facebook as well as word processing on notepad and OpenOffice. The size of the screen doesn't matter as I plan to connect it to a 23 inch LG monitor along with a separate keyboard and mouse. I also have stereo speakers I'd like to connect to it. Any advice or help you could give me would be very much appreciated, thank you.

Sorry about that, preferably around $500, unless that amount would only get me crappy laptops that wouldn't suit my needs. I'm hoping I wouldn't need a laptop that costs more than that if I'm not using them for gaming.

Since you have all those other components, a laptop will be wasted.
Buy a small sff pc and attach your components.

I use something similar and it is just fine for internet browsing

Or, look into an Intel NUC box
Which can be built much stronger.
