I was looking at the gtx 780, quite set on getting one actually. After i realized the r9 290 is much cheaper and slightly better im considering getting one, specifically the xfx dd version.
My concerns are the heat and stuttering VRM issues that these xfx cards had at first. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this brand first hand, the quality, their customer support, and especially the huge selling point of a life time warranty. The life time warranty is really selling me on this card and makes me wonder about a "catch".
A off topic question is if nvidia is still worth it right now? I was really set on nvidia and now that i see these price's verse performance, im wondering what nvidia has to offer that is worth the extra $150 for a gtx 780. I appreciate the advice and answers. Thank you
