Hi all;

love the game - graphics are amazing, and I'm ploughing through it steadily.
Just out of interest, how do you access, input and execute the command
console cheats?

Bring down the console in-game with CTRL+ALT+TILDE (the tilde is the ~)

If you modify your Doom3 shortcut to run with the additional parameter:

+seta com_allowConsole "1"

You can just bring down the console with the tilde(~) key.

Here is a complete list of the console commands (just some site I googled):

The cheats (in case you dont want to dig em up for yourself):

give all - gives you all the weapons, 100 health, 125 armor

noclip - enables you to walk through walls and game objects (although FPS
drops in "the void")

god - god mode(duh?)

notarget - disables you as a target (most monsters wont shoot you)

doomhell - last level

give ammo - gives you ammo for weapons

give keys - all the keys

(note: i dont think give doom95 actually does anything, although the console
recognizes it)

Oh, my bad.

No modification is necessary to bring down the console, just enter the game
(you can bring the console down as early as the startup menu with "new game"
"load game" "multiplayer" etc.) and at any point (playing or in the menu),
hold down CTRL and ALT and press the ~ key. (it's right next to the 1 key)

Now, if you need quick and easy access to the console, right click on the
doom3 shortcut on your desktop (or wherever it is) and go to the "Shortcut"
tab. In the box that is labeled Target, you should have the following:

"[Doom3 Base Directory]\Doom3.exe"
(defaults to C:\Program Files\Doom 3\Doom3.exe)

Change it so that it says:

No modification of the runtime parameters is necessary to bring down the
console, just hold down CTRL and ALT in-game and press the ~ key (right next
to the 1 key) and then type the command/cheat that you want.

Now, if you want to bring down the console by just pressing ~ without
holding CTRL and ALT down, right click on your Doom 3 shortcut (on your
desktop or wherever it is) and select the "Shortcut" tab at the top.

In the "Target:" textbox, it should say:

"[Doom 3 Directory]\doom3.exe"
( default directory is C:\Program Files\Doom 3\ )

Change it so it now says:
"[Doom 3 Directory]\doom3.exe" seta com_allowConsole '1'

(replace [Doom 3 Directory] with your directory; again, the default DIR is
C:\Program Files\Doom 3\)

Now you can bring down the console by just using the ~ key.
