Console games for PC Versions

Hello, my friend gave me a game, Skyrim, for my birthday but forgot that I didn't have an Xbox. But I have a computer, so I was wondering if I could trade in my console game for the PC version at GameStop, thing is, the game is a used and was bought cheap compared to a brand new one. So will I still be able to trade or can I not since the quality is a bit down?

You can trade it in at gamestop, but you probably won't get what you paid for it. It certainly won't pay for a new pc copy of skyrim. If you friend still has the reciept, he should just take the game back and explain the situation. I'm sure they'd give him a pc copy as long as he pays the difference in price.
