Console gaming on VGa monitor?

I have a PS3 and I want to play it on my Dell 14" VGA Monitor at 1024 x 768. Is it possible. I have a VGA to DVI converter that I use for my desktop computer. Will I be able to plug an HDMI to DVI cable to the back of my PS3 and plug the DVI (female) to VGA (male) cable into the Dell VGA monitor?

Doubtful. The ps3's HDMI connection requires a monitor or tv that uses HDCP (high-bandwidth digital content protection). Check your monitor specs. even then, they may only have HDCP running on certain ports like display port, HDMI, and compmponent.
