Console Mode

I'm worn out in the airboat dodging bad guys and I'd like to get on with
the game. In theory I can press tilde ('~') and get a console prompt,
and then enter a cheat code, But when I press '~' nothing happens. How
can I get to the console?

Are you saying you can't continue the game without cheating?
Don't remember exactly where but in the settings
there is a checkbox for displaying the console when
you press ~.

In Keyboard settings, press the Advanced button. There you will find
checkboxes for quick-switch weapons and enabling the console.

On a eg danish keyboard I am not able to use the tilde character
I could have assigned another keyboard character to the console
But I am a bit lazy, I have just added the -console parameter to my
shortcut and the console is on when I start the game
I just hit Esc (pause) whenever I need the console

I could continue without cheating, but this portion has gotten boring. I
paid money for entertainment, and don't need to prove myself by doing
the same thing over and over.

I'm just old and retired
