Wondering if anyone can help, I've had this issue for years, since 2015, the only specs I've changed since then is CPU and PSU, whenever I play some titles, whether it be an older title like mw2, or a newer one like BF1 my pc will inevitibly black screen after 5 mins-1hr. it's incredibly frustrating, & requires a manual reset everytime, it used to happen if I had an unstable OC on my GPU, but now happens without it, I've recently reseated my RAM I have dual channel DDR3, 2 4gb modules in DIMM 2&4 and another 8gb (same module and speed) In DIMM 3. Words cannot explain how frustrating this has become. In my event viewer after it happens I get this:

Event ID:41
Source: Kernel
Log: System

My specs:
MSI Z87m Mobo
CPU i7 4790k
16gb ddr3 2400mhz (auto XMP)
Gigabyte GTX 970 mini (No OC)
Seasonic 620w s12ii bronze

lets rule few things out
ram would bsod,
psu will freeze system or shutdown/reboot,
cpu will freeze system/bsod
from above list, screen will be still displaying something, unless pc shuts down

so remains gpu
try another one
u do have integrated in your cpu, take out that nvidia and switch to intel graphic...see if u get black screen now
if no issues, then your nvidia is faulty

Gonna struggle to run BF1 on integrated graphics haha, I'll try MW2 tomorrow, i'll post the results if you're interested thanks for the quick response

Pretty sure it's my card, I underclocked it, and seems fine, the issue persists on some maps on bf1 at stock clocks, I'm hoping it is just a dodgey GPU

I stress test on Valley benchmark, passes that at stock speed, just some games need to be underclocked, which is weird, and the actual black screen for a crash is weird, no-one else has this issue to my extent it seems

Not too sure what I'm looking for though, not really too sure what parts are at what temps

Also I have ran multiple stress tests on cpu and have never black screened? North bridge and South bridge is linked with your CPU correct?
