Hey everyone. My friend is running a super high end build but kept his settings on default for the longest time. I adjusted his settings to enable XMP in BIOS and MSI's "game mode". We also installed Dragon Center to control RGB software.

However, he's been getting blue screens that make his PC restart on Windows recently. We don't know why, but he is very stubborn and insists that it's the RGB software and wants to factory reset his PC.

Is there any way to diagnose what is causing this problem? Could it be software or could it be a malfunctioning part? If anyone can help before he blindly factory resets, thanks a lot.

There are close to 300 BSOD messages so its difficult to know. Most of them are caused by software like old drivers.

Can you follow option one on the following link - here - and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD - that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD

copy that file to documents

upload the copy from documents to a file sharing web site, and share the link in your thread so we can help fix the problem
