Hi there

I have been getting constant BSOD's for the last month, I have my computer under warranty so I sent it in to get checked and there is no hardware problems. I re installed windows the problem persisted after my system updated. My Pc works fine in safe mode so I think its a driver/s that are causing the problem. I don't know what services or software are causing this problem so It would be helpful if someone could help me identify them or help me fix this problem.

Cheers

Here are two dump files from Whocrashed

On Wed 1/28/2015 10:01:46 AM GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\012915-24164-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x76E80)
Bugcheck code: 0x50 (0xFFFFFA80C4B27A20, 0x0, 0xFFFFF80002CAEDE8, 0x5)
Error: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that invalid system memory has been referenced.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

On Wed 1/28/2015 8:46:53 AM GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\012815-22011-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntfs.sys (Ntfs+0x4211)
Bugcheck code: 0x24 (0x1904FB, 0xFFFFF880064AD5E8, 0xFFFFF880064ACE40, 0xFFFFF880012BBF92)
Error: NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\ntfs.sys
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT File System Driver
Bug check description: This indicates a problem occurred in the NTFS file system.
The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver on your system that cannot be identified at this time.

The files are probably corrupted.

Do a Checkdisk with repair and a Virus Scan (eg Avast, Malwarebytes)

If that doesn't fix it -

Start in Safe Mode (F8 per http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode#1TC=windows-7) and do a Computer Repair.

Or if that doesn't work, try a Last Known Good Configuration (system restore)

Opps, still trying to get this forum thing down

"

There are no last know configurations as its a brand new reinstall of windows

It works in safe mode so I was wondering if there was a way of narrowing down the services that could be causing the bsod's

I tried all of the above and nothing works, I should probally mention that its a brand new re-install of windows so there are no images to restore to.

All I know for sure is that its not a hardware problem and my pc works in safe mode

I have run check disk many times and its clear each time

Computer repair finds nothing halting start up, My pc has only crashed one time before logging in.

I done memtest on all settings, extended seems to get stuck, When In the store they did more advanced tests like burn time, (what ever that is)

On the bios there are two options,

Return to failsafe settings
or Return to optimise settings

I am not sure these are what you mean as nothing implies a reset

overall, you are having a lot of bugchecks due to corrupted system memory. This can be caused by BIOS bugs related to USB, it can be caused by any of the drivers listed below and it can be caused by incorrect memory timings settings in BIOS.
Because of this you will want to update your BIOS or reset it to defaults and reboot and run memtest86 on its own boot image. This will help confirm that your hardware memory is not the cause of the corruption.

if you are unable to find the cause of the corruption you would have to run verifier.exe and set flags to force windows to check internal structures and bugcheck when they get corrupted. here is some info on how to do that:
http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/65331-using-driver-verifier-identify-issues-drivers.html

--------------
Note: check the motherboard vendor for BIOS updates and install any CPU chipset drivers and any custom USB drivers for the board.
I am not sure why I don't see your bios version listed on the gigabyte website. Maybe the product string is incorrect in the BIOS.
GA-78LMT-USB3 (looks like the BIOS version is tied to the various board revision numbers but not shown in the BIOS)

update this file, it corrupts system memory, new version works
\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\xusb21.sys Wed Apr 08 07:28:44 2009

update this file:\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\Rt64win7.sys Tue Aug 23 06:55:41 2011 (known bugs)
Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC
get it here: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

remove:\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\AppleCharger.sys Wed Oct 24 17:51:02 2012
known corruption bugs, update it only if you charge apple devices on a special USB port on your PC. Get update from motherboard maker.

C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Fuel\amd64\AODDriver2.sys Wed Sep 11 20:36:40 2013
sometimes causes some problems with due to overclocking. I would remove the driver until you figure out your problem.

@Johnbl

I have done all you said and am now restarting my pc to see if it crashes.

I deleted the apple drive from the folder, I don't know if thats the correct way to uninstall a driver though

put the memory .dmp on a server.
I would go ahead and run the verifier.exe, set the flags, change the memory dump to full or kernel (it will make a big file)
make sure you have free disk space. Reboot and run until you get the next bugcheck. Then put the new (very large) memory .dmp file on a server and let me know.
after you are done you can turn off the verifier.exe functions with the verifier.exe /reset command (otherwise your machine will run slowly)

While uploading the kernel dump, my pc crashed with a memory management BSOD.

This was in safe mode so I guess I after I turned of verifier exe. So I guess I have to get a new kernal file of the generic error rather than the memory management error?

Oh, and pb tech tested my pc for 6 days doing all the hardware checks and they found nothing wrong with the hardware. Apparently they couldn't even get it to crash!

When ever I run rammap, my computer crashes without exception. Its been three tries so far in safe mode. So maybe its got something to do with memory management?

So - IBM bios and OK or AMI Bios and RAM problem?

Is this still on warranty?

"So - IBM bios and OK or AMI Bios and RAM problem?"

I don't understand this question sorry

I still have 8 months warranty left, however its only for hardware, If its a software problem I will have to pay for repairs which I can't afford atm even though its like $120. I am a poor student
