[SOLVED] Constant BSOD

I'm constantly getting bsod errors, mostly DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL, SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION, and KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED. I seem to get a bsod when I'm downloading stuff or browsing the internet. I tried googling for a solution but can't find any. Problems seem to relate to driver issues according to google. Nothing is overclocked and I'd built this pc about 4 months ago. I'm really at a lost here on what to do.

PC spec:
MSI B450 Tomahawk max motherboard
RTX 2060
AMD 3600x 6-core
Corsair - Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB
RM750x 750 watts 80+ gold certified

Just chipping in as I'm having the same stop codes, also with a b450, 3600, and corsair ram (different GPU and PSU). Things I've tried so far that hasn't worked:

2 fresh installs of Win10.
New SSD with a fresh install of Win10.
Updated all drivers, BIOS, chipset etc.
RMA'd my RAM modules (my RAM model is on the compatibility list for the b450, but the specific ver. is not - not sure if this could be a compatibility issue)
New motherboard.
Used RAM calculator to set timings for my RAM.
Used all the memory diagnostic tools, as well as system check - no results.
Checked for malware/virus, as well as turning all third party software off.

All temps are within range, and nothing is over/underclocked, except having changed RAM timings to what the DRAM calculator deemed the "safe" settings.
Sorry I've not come with a solution, I'm here looking for help. But hopefully this gives you some options to try if you haven't and excludes some possible issues.

There is a BIOS update available for your system. You have version 3.3 and thet latest is 3.5. Wait for additional information before deciding to update or not. Important: Verify that I have linked to the correct motherboard. Updating your BIOS can be risky. Never try it when you might lose power (lightning storms, recent power outages, etc).

This driver seems to be related to a utility that improves internet speed and stability, often a software that comes bundled with the motherboard, like XFast LAN. See if you have any such program installed(anything that isn't an essential driver and is controlling your internet connection), and if you aren't using it, uninstall it.

Damn, I was thinking of doing a fresh install to see if that'll help but now I'm not so sure.

I went ahead and removed the program and driver (cfosspeed) but I had another bsod that was caused by rt640x64.sys so I updated my reltek driver. I'll give you guys an update in a few days if I don't receive another bsod.

I received another bsod saying DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL with Wdf01000.sys failing.I have no idea what's causing it this time.

Run a sfc scan, multiple BSOD errors could mean a bad Windows installation, so I'd suggest backing up important data in case you need to do a fresh install soon. For the sfc scan, open command prompt as an admin and type in "sfc /scannow" without quotes. Restart the PC after the scan is complete and repairs are complete.

so you have the newest Realtek drivers, and yet it still crashes. That is odd. If you have run AV, that would have been my other go to...

there are 2 new bios versions since yours, it might help to update.

I can see your ram on the motherboard listing so its not that ram is wrong - just checking,


Try running memtest86 on each of your ram sticks, one stick at a time, up to 4 passes. Only error count you want is 0, any higher could be cause of the BSOD. Remove/replace ram sticks with errors.

Sorry for the late reply, it took awhile doing all the update and memtest. I updated my bios and chipset drivers to the latest version, I ran sfc/scannow and everything is now validated, I also did a quick scan with malwarebytes and nothing came up. I also got zero error on both ram (I test them each independently). I honestly don't know why the reltek driver keep causing the bsods but I'll keep you guys updated if you the issue has been resolve. Thank you everyone!

if it BSOD again, try looking at the 2nd post here and follow instructions. It could be another driver is to blame, although if this blames Realtek we can't really ignore it
