Hey guys, I'm making the first thread I've made on here in years because of this issue.

Two days ago I "upgraded" to Windows 10. Since the moment it updated I've had constant issues. Immediately after the update I was experiencing short freezes lasting 1-5 minutes that happened about every 5 minutes. Task manager also showed my C disk at solid 100% usage constantly.

After a while it froze permanently, forcing me to hard shutdown by holding the power button. When I started it again it said it was repairing the C drive, and I went to bed. When I woke up it had a little loading circle on the screen and stayed like that for an hour before I hard shutdowned again.

I managed to fix the 100% disk usage by disabling some settings, but it still freezes constantly, and now I just had it BSOD on me.

Ive updated my graphics drivers, my specs are

i7 3770, 8 core
12GB RAM
R9 280X
2TB HDD (C drive)
500MB HDD (D drive)

I really need some help with this.

Cool. Once you get it all backed up/off the drive, then I would just 'refresh' Win10, using the 'keep nothing' option.....which is essentially a fresh install.

This may also be a great time to transition to SSD for your boot drive too.....

Alright, I've reverted back to windows 7 for now, whenever I feel like finally getting windows 10 I'll update then quickly do a clean install. So far windows 7 is having no problems.
