Constant DNS Errors On Wifi

I'm having a lot of problems with my wifi giving my devices DNS errors. This only happens on my wireless devices such as my phone, ipad, and playstation systems. The playstation systems tell me it's a DNS problem. I've already tried flushing my DNS and using google's DNS server, neither of which solved the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
Just curious, do you only see this on a WiFi connection? I know a few browsers will generate a DNS timeout error when the issue is actually related to wireless interference.

It sounds like right now all your devices are still set up to route through your router's DNS server. Technically speaking if they all share the same DNS server, when you have the issue if you go to a hardwired connection and it works fine, then I would say you're looking at another issue.

As well, if it is just a DNS issue when you have the error you should have no issues pinging or completing trace routes to a servers IP address, so if that fails then it would also point towards another issue rather than DNS specifically.

Yes I only notice this issue on wifi. The ipconfig I pasted was from a wired connection which I didn't bother to change over to Google dns. As none of my wireless devices are computers I don't know how to trace ip when I'm experiencing the issue.

In that case, what you can do is just preemptively look up the IP address using the nslookup command.

Eg.

C:\Users\exampleuser>nslookup google.ca

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: google.ca
Addresses:
24.244.4.44
24.244.4.30
24.244.4.55
24.244.4.35
24.244.4.29
24.244.4.50
24.244.4.49
24.244.4.40
24.244.4.59
24.244.4.20
24.244.4.25
24.244.4.24
24.244.4.45
24.244.4.39
24.244.4.34
24.244.4.54

All of the above are valid IP addresses for google.ca, so in theory you could just type in one of those when you experience the issue, and if it still doesn't work then it's likely not a DNS issue.

The issue doesn't last long enough for me to do that. It literally just drops connection when I'm playing an online game, tells me there is a dns error, and then I can immediately reconnect. The problem being of course that it kicks me from the online game.

I had a chance to try this last night on my phone. Entering in google's ip address did not bring up the website. So now I'm not sure what the issue is. I was still connected to wifi, I just couldn't access the internet at all on any of my devices for several hours last night except for my desktop which is wired.
