constant downloading all night

I am having slow speed internet. So i have to keep my pc on all night with the screen off. Does it affect the graphics card as it is also on.
I am using R9 270x

No ill effects, most of my rigs run 24/7, I generally will turn the monitor off overnight but that's about it
