When i play games like CSGO i'll have random ping spikes from 30 to 120 and 0-10% choke. While on Smite ill have 100 constant ping while my friends who live maybe 2 miles away has 40 ping. My isp is FIOS and im using an ethernet cable.

Do these ping spikes happen at a specific time of day? Do you have anything running in the background, like Steam update or Skype?

To clarify those are my pingtests, he is currently unable to send me them right now, i ll get them later. But i usually have skype running but no Steam update. I do have steam though. Before i play i usually exit everything but skype, spotify web, and steam.
edit: it wil happen every single time of the day , even 2 am at night when everyones asleep.

Make sure your ethernet cable is plugged in fully to your computer and router/modem. Every now and then I'll accidentally leave mine hanging out and I'll get issues like yours.

Have you tried restarting your computer, and running just the game?

I've switch ethernet cables, and i have tried doing that many times but the problem still persists. I've been having it ever since like june lol. I've tried contacting verizon but they keep saying its my fault or the game.

I'm out of ideas, sorry.
Does your friend have a different ISP/type of internet? What type of internet do you have?

With your internet do you have your own router? If so, what is the model?

I don't know exactly how FiOS FTTP works, but you may be able to bypass the router and test your connection. If it works fine tha way, then you know it's the router.

Do any other computers on your network suffer from this high latency or ping?

Thanks for the help anys. Same isp, 2 milles from me, 10 more mbts than me. ISP is fios.
Crap i kinda chose ur reply as the solution...

It is a verizon router that i bought. Its called FIOS g1100. Yes other computers do have ping probems

You can ask a moderator to change the solution.

The last suggestion I have is to restart your router. Unplug it from the power, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in. If this doesn't fix it, try doing the same thing with your modem if you have one.
Make sure with Verizon that doing this won't cause any problems first, though.
