Recently my computer has started making a lot of notification/error sounds, each time they are accompanied by a very short freeze, which I only notice if I am moving the mouse at the time of the sound.
If I am playing a game at the time this also brings in a second cursor that overlays on the full screen game that I cannot get rid of without exiting the game.
These errors happen almost every 5 to 10 minutes sometimes with 2 in quick succession.

I have had a look at the event viewer and I see that I get an event that appear to coincide with most, but not all, the error sounds, but it may be a red herring...
"DllHost (16308,G,98) The beta feature EseDiskFlushConsistency is enabled in ESENT due to the beta site mode settings 0x800000."

Can someone please point me in the right direction towards identifying what is causing these notification/error sounds and short freezes and how to fix the issue.

Thanks!

I just ran a bunch of torubleshooting, using the trouble shoot tool in windows 10 and a system scan. None of which came up with anything.

Any advice on what to do next would really be appreciated.

Next update. I identified the sounds as device connect and disconnect sounds. Obviously I'm not pulling out anything. I've trawled the internet for anything that might be causing this. Is there any way I can further track down this issue?
