Constant PC freezing!

My PC seems to always be freezing, whether I am playing video games or just browsing. The screen either freezes or goes black, but the computer does not shut down because the power LED is still on and the fans are still working. Nonetheless I still have to force shut down every time this happens, which has been frequently lately.

Neither my CPU nor GPU are overclocked and my temps stay under 45 degrees, even while gaming.

Would anyone have a solution/answer as to why this could be happening?

My rig:
Intel Core i5-4670k (3.4 ghz)
CM Hyper 212 EVo CPU cooler
8 GB Kingston HyperX Ram @ 1600 MHz
2x 128 GB SSD (one used for Windows 8)
2 TB WD Caviar Black
Asus HD 7970
Antec HCG 750W 80+ bronze PSU

make sure both your mb and your ssd bios and firmware up to date to rule out a bios bug. myself i do an rma first on the power supply or see if someone has a cosair or seasoinic unit to use. my gut feeling is the power supply rippling out or not holding. you can try hardware monitor or look inside your mb bios health screen see if the voltage is stable.

Does it freeze completely and ever come back after? Have you checked your CPU Usage in Task Manager?

unfortunately I don't have another PSU that I can use meanwhile. I will check if my firmware and rivers are up to date.
