For a while back, I had a GPU issue. PC keeps on restarting. It appears that my GPU was overheating. Changed GPU and PC had no issues. 2 days ago, PC again was constantly restarting. Ruled out everything. Tried also everything on another unit. For 2 days I tried everything in my knowledge to locate the issue. But when I removed my CMOS battery and replaced it in after a few seconds, PC now I "think" is fixed. The question is, how did that fix my issue? Or can that be really a part of some troubleshooting steps?

Would that also reset the update on my BIOS?

No, once an update is complete, it does not need to be done a 2nd time. It's now part of the default settings.

another question. Would the audio from my motherboard cause my system to random restart? For a while now, my audio would just like robotic and would just hang up while the audio (movie/music) is still playing. I've tried installing the past drivers but still the same issue. Is the audio port the one at fault? Or is it my MoBo?
