Constant stuttering after ram upgrade

Hello,
The title is pretty self explanatory. Since adding new ram, im experiencing stuttering at random intervals around 1-2 second after that it went nice and smooth again.
It happen constantly, and it never happened before. CPU or GPU temperature is sitting at 60-70°C so it not the problem.

My old ram is : Samsung 4GB M471A5244CB0-CRC

Is there anything i could do to fix this issue? Please help me. Thanks in advance.

The problem is that the RAM is not a matched set. Return the newest set and purchase a matched set of dual channel RAM. Or purchase another stick of exactly the same stick.

Well, returning it was not an option. As the return date policy has already expired... Is there something i can do beside that?

What is the model of laptop?

Since you probably only have two dimm slots in your lap top, your options are few. In a desktop with four dim slots, you could put the two dissimilar RAM sticks in separate channels. That way you could use both sticks as single channel memory (still might not work well).

I think the best course of action is to order another stick of the exact same RAM as last time. It still isn't ideal but it is as close to purchasing a matched set of RAM in this situation.

If that works well, then you might be able to sell the original RAM. Or stick it in a drawer as backup

I doubt that it would cause physical damage to your system. It would stress the motherboard and CPU.

But the problems that you describe as "Constant stuttering after ram upgrade" would continue.
