Contact between Fins and base

I sow a design of cooler master heatsink. The base made of cooper, the fins made of alum.
It is REQ. to use thermal material between CPU and heatsink. What about the contact between the fins and the base? is it 100% fine?

the fins arent detatchable. they are probably melted to the base or somthing.

how do you shoot the devil in the back? what happens if you miss? -verbal

i dont know the exact process of putting the aluminum to the copper, but i do know that it is pretty good, unless the heatsink is a piece of crap...but usually if it has copper in it, it will be of good quality.
