I've just recently completed my pokedex but in R/S but now to get another
star I need to win the master rank in every category. I've tried and it's
very difficult. Maybe it's my moves? my condition? or pokemon. I don't know
but if someone could help me by offering advise about winning the contests.
Which pokemon should I use and what moves and combo's should I use?

Thanks again, Glenn

You pretty much need a different pokemon for each contest. If you have one
of the strategy guides, find a pokemon with a compatible personality type
and feed them pokeblocks. Get the ribbons from the old guy.

You should have a two-move series, and one "defensive" move. I have one
master rank in all five contests, but only got 4 sketches. Apparently you
have to win first time each level to get a sketch.

No, you can lose first and then win later. To get a sketch, your
overall "heart" score has to be a certain level (I think it's six, but
I'm not sure). Oh, and make sure you've talked to the art house
curator guy before entering the Master Rank contests.

Check out GameFAQs.com's Ruby/Sapphire page for lists of contest moves
and combos.

Here's the movesets I used to get all the art house sketches (I also
maxed out the appropriate contest stat, of course):

Cool: Skarmory (Double Team, Agility, Swift, Peck)
Tough/Smart: Shuppet (Curse, Spite, Screech, Destiny Bond)
Beauty: Milotic (Dive, Water Pulse, Surf, Rain Dance)
Cute: Barboach (Amnesia, Water Sport, Mud Sport, Rest)
