Hey,

I don't post here often anymore since I built my pc its been around 2 years trouble free.... but just today I have noticed that it has a continous beep about once a minute coming from somwhere near the motherboard.

I have done a bit of browsing and am led to believe it is either GPU, RAM or CPU related.

Nothing is unplugged and refit the gpu/ram to no avail.

Don't really want to take off the cpu if i dont have too because i have the cooler master hyper212 on it.

If anyone could enlighten me on what my issue is, it would be greatly appreciated !

TL;DR 1 beep a minute coming from mobo, CPU fried?

Googled a bit and came up with this.
"1 short ------------ DRAM refresh failure -----The programmable interrupt timer or programmable interrupt controller has probably failed"

I have switched the ram slots and that didnt do anything, I'll try one stick at a time and see if that works.

I have 2x4gb gskill aeries ram sticks, old ddr3
