Hi all,
Recently Updated my outdated pc. Added a new MOBO, GPU, HSF,CASE,SSHD.
About a week ago i ran into a issue, during a game of league my PC hard froze and would not respond to anything. I hard shut down thinking it was a hiccup but when i tried to turn it back on nothing happened. Everything would light up but it would not boot to the OS now to the BIOS. After several attempts it would finally boot to the OS and i can use it from 5 to 40 minutes before it froze again and went through the same process. I thought it was a motherboard issue, as with the MSI board i used it seemed to freeze often and not boot to bios, but when i installed my old ASUS board it was fine and no freezes were apparent (at least that happened during use)

Decided to return the msi board and buy another newer asus. Installed it, reinstalled the OS and everything seemed fine until it froze again. I have tried several things to figure out what is the cause. I have tested my RAM, they're fine, tested another PSU that i know works, same problem. Tested another GPU same problem, Another Older HDD, same probelm (even froze on the install of the OS), tried 3 motherboards, two MSI 990FX and 1 Asus 970 Pro, both of them have froze. I have an Old Asus M5A97 board i can test again and use for a longer period, but if its possible i can keep the board i have now that would be great.

A little insight on what happened when the PC froze. First Freeze was when i was playing league on MSI board, 2,3,4,5th freeze during startup of PC. New board installed, 6th freeze during initial setup (though i thought it was just it "thinking") 7th freeze happened after installing windows 10 update (during the installation actually) 8th freeze happened when i changed the default browser to chrome (i guess microsoft really wants me to use edge?)

The only thing left to change on my pc is my CD Drive, and CPU, but idk if its my CPU. Ive been told they barely ever fail and its temps have been around 26 degrees? GPU has been at 35 degrees?

I really appreciate any help on this as i spent alot of money on these upgrades and im starting to feel i wasted money to brick a perfectly good working PC. 🙁

Edit:I just remembered something, When it froze on my new MOBO (the asus one) i booted it up and got an error, it was like "overclocking failed" though i have not overclocked this PC ever, no need to. Could that be a reason as both of the new Motherboards i have purchased have been "gaming" motherboards? Are gaming motherboards much more different than normal ones?

Setup:
Asus 970 Pro Gaming Mobo
AMD FX8350 4.0Ghz
Strix Rx 480 8Gb
8Gb DDR3 RAM x 2
Corsair H100i V2 "HSF"
2Tb HDD
2TB SSHD
Cooler Master Silent Pro 1000w
CM Storm Stryker
Win 10 Pro

Yup only 1 HDD was connected, afraid of installing the OS over my Backup drive. and im trying to update it right now, but im still having trouble getting it to boot.

Yes i can, but id have to do it tommorow on my spare pc at my office. Though i did test my ram on it last week and it was fine then, but i can always test again.
