Hey my pc has been working fine up until now i was playing GTA when it froze nothing happened so i turned my pc off using power button. when i tried to turn it back on the screen said no signal i plugged in a speaker to diagnose the problem the beeps are short continuous and fast which i saw online means power error i have tried unplugging components to see if too much power was being pulled through the psu but nothing changes even when the ram has been taken out the beep pattern stays the same i have tried the ram in different slots and reset CMOS several times i have also tried my graphics card in a different slot i cannot remove the gpu because i need it to see if the pc is working as i have no onboard graphics. is there anything else i could try before splashing out on a new psu?

my build is:
Amd 750k X4 athalon cpu(OC to 3.9ghz w/ Coolermaster 212 cooler)
gigabyte f2a88xm-d3h mobo
amd R9 380 4gb
8gb(2x4) corsair vengeance
corsair cxm 500w

Your MB has AMI BIOS, check the link for the beep code. http://www.pchell.com/hardware/beepcodes.shtml

I think the problem maybe from cpu or MB, or the PSU.

For PSU, you may test it by the paper clip method. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=63991 If it does pass, then try this Bench it - Troubleshooting http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1753671/bench-troubleshooting.html Start with cpu+cooler+using the onboard iGPU to boot the PC. If the PC will not boot and get the same beeps, either cpu or MB has problem.

thanks for correcting me on the beep code i was looking at the wrong one, i know the psu has power becuase all the fans and LEDs come on and i cannot boot the pc without a graphics card becuase my cpu does not have onboard graphics. i plan to take everything out the case tomorrow to make sure it isnt shorting on something.
