'Control' key makes my PC shut down.

I spilt some water on my Das Keyboard (I think it's the original version) and ever since, some funky things have been going on with my PC. First my volume started muting itself all the time. That problem's gone away, however now my computer shuts down everytime I press the left control key. The right ctrl does not shut the pc down.
Neither of these anomalies are things I understand because there are apparently no keyboard shortcuts to either shut down or mute volume in windows 10. Could I have a virus and the keyboard was somehow just a well timed red herring? Giss a hand plox

Hm... Ctrl has no way to shut down the computer...

I know a registry key which crashes the computer with a Ctrl button. See if it's activated at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\kbdhid\Parameters" parameter "CrashOnCtrlScroll.

There wasn't any entry of that name in the registry.
