I had the idea to connect my led strip to my pc and make a program controlling the strip. Currently it has a standard 12V power supply with remote. After 2 hours of searching most people recomended to use an Arduino but it requires soldeing which I am not capable of and also don't have the tools.
Is there an easier way to control the led strip via Pc?

Here's a little USB to GPIO board for you to investigate: https://www.amazon.com/Channel-GPIO-Module-Analog-Inputs/dp/B00MXKA45Q. It looks like it has screw down terminals.

Also, learn how to solder. It's pretty easy and it's a good skill to have if you like to tinker with electonics. Watch some youtube videos. Here's a cheap, basic electronics soldering kit for under $20: https://www.amazon.com/iPartsBuy-HH301-Electric-Soldering-Desolder/dp/B01F8X4L1M/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1532033207&sr=1-4&keywords=soldering+iron+kit+set. Just add a wire stripper/cutting tool and you're all set!
